Experience the unmatched shimmer of our Fine Metallic thread, renowned as one of the finest and designed to elevate your thread game. Whether stitching on a high-speed embroidery machine, quilting on a longarm or home machine, or adding special hand-stitched touches, this thread promises to add a touch of brilliance to your work. Its versatility across different techniques and applications makes it a must-have in any quilter's toolbox.
Working with metallic threads may sometimes be challenging, but don’t worry! The results are breathtaking when used with a Topstitch #90/14 needle, loose top tension (start at 1.0 and increase slowly), and a smooth bobbin thread (we recommend Precision). The beautiful finish and rich colors are available on 1,000 and 500 yd. mini cones.
Embrace the luxury of the finest metallic thread in your next quilt or embroidery project and see how it transforms ordinary creations into sparkling works of art. For optimal results, use Perfection or Precision in the bobbin. We recommend Topstitch #90/14 needles for home machines and #18 (4.0) needles for longarm machines. Don’t be afraid to loosen your top tension. Metallic threads are delicate but can and should be used for decorative applications.

Don't Forget Your Needles
If you are going to stitch Fine Metallic on your home sewing machine, don't forget to add a pack of our titanium-coated Topstitch Needles to your order. Our needles last up to five times longer than standard sewing machine needles.
Topstitch needles also have a large eye, deep groove, and rounded sharp point-- say goodbye to interruptions caused by thread breakage! (Think of all the time you will save by not having to rethread your machine. 😁)
