Precision has the trifecta of desirable traits for thin threads – it blends well, is surprisingly strong, and is effortlessly graceful under high-speed stitching pressure. Purposefully designed to blend, it is a 60 wt. 2-ply polyester thread made from long, smooth filaments. This fine thread is an expert at playing the background role of a bobbin thread to a variety of top threads, pairing excellently with 40 wt., 50 wt., and 60 wt. threads. Ideal for meticulous projects like English paper piecing and machine appliqué, Precision rests into the fabric with a gentle determination, nearly eliminating the chance of developing pesky puckering. It’s like the best party guest: it blends well with others and never makes a scene!
Available on 3,000-yard cones, 1,420 yd. spools, Class 15 and L-style prewound bobbins in 25 blending colors, Precision offers everything from rich, deep color tones to light, playful pastel hues. Just imagine the possibilities! Whether accentuating the bold tones of a dupioni silk fabric or finishing your 1,000th EPP block, this thread ensures that your creative vision takes center stage. We highly recommend it as a go-to bobbin thread for quilters and sewists.
Don’t be afraid to loosen your machine's top tension as you achieve the perfectly balanced stitch. For optimal results, use Precision or Precision prewound bobbins in the bobbin and Topstitch #70/10 needles for home machines or #14 (3.0) needles for longarm machines.

Don't Forget Your Needles
If you are going to stitch Precision on your home sewing machine, don't forget to add a pack of our titanium-coated Topstitch Needles to your order. Our needles last up to five times longer than standard sewing machine needles.
Topstitch needles also have a large eye, deep groove, and rounded sharp point-- say goodbye to interruptions caused by thread breakage! (Think of all the time you will save by not having to rethread your machine. 😁)
