A Skinny Bolt is an end-of-bolt cut with less than 3 yards of fabric remaining. These are the same premium quilting cottons you'll find throughout our store, just in smaller quantities. Because we'd rather see this fabric in your sewing room than in warehouse space, we discount Skinny Bolts by up to 33% off the regular price. You purchase the entire remaining amount on the bolt.

When a bolt reaches the last few yards, it's harder to sell in standard cuts. Rather than let beautiful fabric sit, we pass the savings on to you. The fabric quality is identical to full-price yardage from the same manufacturer. The only difference is quantity: you're buying whatever remains on that bolt, typically 1 to 3 yards. It's a win for quilters who value variety and value.

Many projects fit within 1-3 yards. One yard can be enough for bag projects, pillow covers, table runners, or binding for a lap quilt. Two yards provide enough for quilt backing on smaller projects, a generous border, or multiple coordinating elements.
