QuiltMaker is a 40 wt. poly-wrapped poly core thread designed explicitly for high-speed longarm quilting. Its unique construction combines the strength and durability of polyester with the soft, natural appearance of cotton. QuiltMaker is a low-lint polyester thread. While it produces significantly less lint than cotton threads or spun polyester threads, you'll still notice minimal lint accumulation in your bobbin case and along the thread path. The poly-wrapped construction creates far less fuzz than spun polyester or cotton threads, which is why longarm quilters love it. Spend more time quilting and less time cleaning! For a completely lint-free experience, consider Perfection or Elite threads; both are continuous filament polyester threads that produce no lint. However, QuiltMaker's low lint and cotton-like appearance make it the perfect balance for longarm quilters who want a strong thread with bold stitches.

You can absolutely use QuiltMaker thread on your home sewing machine for decorative quilting and topstitching. Use a Topstitch #90/14 needle and adjust your top tension if needed (you may need to loosen it slightly from your standard setting). QuiltMaker is available on large 6,000-yard cones and will work great on a home machine if you use a thread stand.

Use a Topstitch #90/14 needle for QuiltMaker 40 wt. thread. The Topstitch needle's large eye and deep groove protect the poly-wrapped construction as it passes through your machine at high speeds.

For longarm machines, a #14 (3.0) needle works well. The Topstitch design prevents the thread from shredding or breaking, which is especially important during long quilting sessions where consistent stitch quality matters.

Precision 60 wt. polyester prewound bobbins are the ideal match for QuiltMaker. The fine 60 wt. stays hidden on the quilt back while your bold 40 wt. QuiltMaker creates visible texture on top. Precision is lint-free, which helps keep your longarm machine clean during high-speed quilting. M-style Precision prewounds hold significantly more thread than self-wound bobbins and provide factory-wound consistency, reducing the number of bobbin changes per quilt.
