Made with 100% Japanese filament silk fibers, it’s the perfect choice for appliqué or adding detailed quilting motifs. Our Silk #100 combines strength with subtlety for impressive results.
A favorite for English Paper Piecing because of the fiber’s natural flexibility, helping create tight, secure stitches that easily bend and fold with the fabric without causing warping or distortion.
Available in a palette of over fifty beautiful colors and wound onto convenient 200 yd spools. Experience what makes Silk #100 an absolute joy to hand or machine quilt with. For machine quilting, we recommend using Precision for the bobbin and a Topstitch #70/10 needle for home machines and a #14 (3.0) needle for longarm machines.

If you are going to stitch Silk #100 on your home sewing machine, don't forget to add a pack of our titanium-coated Topstitch Needles to your order. Our needles last up to five times longer than standard sewing machine needles.
Topstitch needles also have a large eye, deep groove, and rounded sharp point-- say goodbye to interruptions caused by thread breakage! (Think of all the time you will save by not having to rethread your machine. 😁)
