This creates bold, dimensional lines without the stress of pulling heavy thread through your machine's tension system. In serger loopers, Jeans Stitch creates dramatic, visible edges on denim projects, bags, and home decor. The heavy weight stands out beautifully on fabric edges where you want a decorative finish.

When couching Jeans Stitch, use Precision 60 wt. or invisible thread in your needle to tack down the heavy 12 wt. thread. The fine couching thread disappears into the Jeans Stitch while your bold decorative thread takes center stage on top. Set your machine to a medium zigzag stitch that catches both edges of the Jeans Stitch as it lays on your fabric.
